IS200TBCIS2CCD
Description
1、 Product Overview
IS200TBCIS2CCD is a discrete/dry contact input terminal board (TBCI) for General Electric's (GE) Speedtronic Mark VI/Mark VIe turbine control system. It belongs to the IS200 series of core I/O terminal modules and is designed for the acquisition, isolation, and transmission of switch signals for heavy-duty power equipment such as gas turbines, steam turbines, and compressors. It is a key hardware unit for the control system to sense the external dry contact status (such as valve position, limit, alarm, and protective contacts).

3、 Hardware Structure and Interface Design
Terminal and wiring layout
Two independent barrier type terminal blocks (TB1, TB2) are installed on the board, with a total of 24 dry contact inputs, each with a pair of positive/negative terminals, used to connect external passive contacts (such as limit switches, pressure switches, relay outputs, emergency stop contacts).
A shielded grounding terminal block is installed on the left side to connect to the cabinet ground and suppress external cable interference.
Connect the power interface (JE1/JE2) to a 24VDC excitation power supply to supply power to the dry contact circuit; The data interface (JR1/JS1/JT1) communicates with the Mark VIe I/O processor module through dedicated cables, and the redundant system can be connected in parallel with multiple channels.
Circuit and Protection Design
Each input is integrated with RC filtering, surge suppression, and overcurrent protection, effectively filtering out electromagnetic noise and peak interference in industrial sites to avoid signal false triggering.
The group isolation architecture prevents the spread of single point failures and meets the high safety requirements of TMR triple redundant control systems.
Compact long strip PCB design, compatible with Mark VIe standard cabinet slots, easy to install side by side with other I/O terminal boards.
4、 Core functions and features
Reliable dry contact signal acquisition
Accurately collect the on-off status (on/off) of 24 external passive dry contacts, convert mechanical contact signals into digital signals recognizable by the control system, and use them for equipment status monitoring, logic interlocking, and protection action triggering (such as overspeed, overtemperature, shutdown, and valve in place).
Strong anti-interference and isolation capabilities
Channel grouping with electrical isolation, hardware filtering, and surge suppression triple protection, suitable for harsh environments such as power plants, oil and gas, and heavy industries with strong electromagnetic, high vibration, and multiple interferences, ensuring the accuracy and stability of signal acquisition and avoiding misoperation.
Redundancy compatibility and security design
Perfect adaptation to Mark VIe's simplex, dual, TMR triple redundancy architecture, support for three module parallel voting, meet industrial safety standards such as IEC 61508, and apply to safety control scenarios of key power equipment.
Plug and play and easy maintenance
No hardware jumpers, no on-site configuration required; The terminals are pluggable and the cables are standardized, making it easy to install, wire, troubleshoot, and replace modules, reducing downtime for maintenance.
System level diagnostic support
Cooperate with I/O processors to achieve real-time monitoring of input status, detection of excitation voltage, diagnosis of disconnection/short circuit, fault alarm and logging, and quickly locate input circuit abnormalities (such as contact adhesion, cable disconnection, power supply abnormalities).
5、 Typical application scenarios
Power industry: dry contact signal acquisition for valve position, emergency shutdown, overspeed protection, lubricating oil pressure, temperature switch, etc. of gas/steam turbine generator sets.
Oil and gas: operation status, safety interlock, and limit alarm signal input of pipeline compressors, pump units, and oil and gas processing equipment.
Industrial power: protection contacts and operation status monitoring for large rotating machinery, power station auxiliary equipment, and industrial boilers.
Redundant safety system: The discrete input front-end of TMR triple redundant control system ensures the safe shutdown of key equipment and reliable execution of interlocking logic.
6、 Key points for installation and maintenance
Installation: Fixed in a standard cabinet to ensure ventilation; Use shielded cables for wiring, with the shielding layer grounded at one end; Strictly distinguish the positive and negative poles of the excitation power supply to avoid reverse connection.
Wiring: Dry contacts are directly connected to terminals, while passive contacts do not require external power supply and are excited by module 24VDC; The cable diameter is compatible with # 12 AWG to ensure a secure connection.
Maintenance: Regularly check the excitation voltage, wiring terminals, and cable status; When a fault occurs, the abnormal channel can be located through the system diagnostic log, and module replacement does not require reconfiguration.
Compatibility: Only compatible with GE Mark VI/Mark VIe control systems, used in conjunction with I/O processor modules such as VTCC, VCRC, VCCC, etc.
