General Description

Model UT2800-1/HB is a 1/4 DIN high-precision digital indicator controller with HB high limit alarm built-in. Universal input, PID control, relay alarm output, panel mounting for industrial furnace, oven, temperature and process control.

3. Safety Precautions

  • Disconnect power before wiring and installation.

  • Use separate wiring for signal line and power line, avoid high voltage interference.

  • Do not install in places with strong vibration, corrosive gas, direct sunlight or condensation.

  • Only professional personnel can perform wiring and parameter setting.

  • Do not disassemble the unit privately; no user serviceable parts inside.

4. Installation & Mounting

  1. Panel cutout size: 92×92 mm

  2. Panel thickness: 1–5 mm

  3. Insert UT2800-1/HB from front of panel

  4. Fix with mounting brackets at the rear, fasten screws firmly

  5. Keep the front panel flush and stable

5. Terminal Wiring Definition

  1. Power terminal: Connect 100–240 VAC

  2. Sensor input terminal: Thermocouple / Pt100 / analog signal input

  3. HB Alarm output terminal: Relay contact for high limit alarm, connect buzzer, indicator light or external interlock

  4. Common ground terminal: Signal ground connection

6. Front Panel Key Operation

  • SET key: Enter parameter menu / confirm setting

  • ▲ ▼ key: Adjust value, select parameter item

  • ◀ key: Shift cursor

  • PV display: Process actual temperature/value

  • SP display: Set target value / parameter code

  • HB alarm indicator: Lights up when high limit alarm is triggered

7. Basic Operation

Power on

After power on, the unit self-checks, then displays PV actual value and SP set value normally.

Set target temperature (SP)

  1. Press SET briefly, SP value flashes

  2. Use ▲ ▼ to modify set value

  3. Press SET or ENT to save and exit

Enter parameter setting menu

  1. Press and hold SET for 3 seconds to enter system parameter group

  2. Press ▲ ▼ to select parameter code

  3. Press SET to enter modification

  4. Adjust value with ▲ ▼

  5. Press SET to save

  6. Hold SET 3 seconds again to quit menu mode

8. UT2800-1/HB Special HB Parameter

  • HB.L: High alarm limit value

  • HB.HY: Alarm hysteresis difference

  • HB.MD: Alarm action mode (normally open / normally closed)

    When PV value exceeds HB.L setting, relay acts and HB alarm lamp lights up.

9. Input Type Selection

In parameter menu, select input type:
  • K, J, E, T, N, R, S, B = Thermocouple

  • Pt100 = RTD temperature sensor

  • 4–20mA / 0–10V = Analog linear input

10. Error Code

  • Err 01: Sensor open circuit

  • Err 02: Input over range

  • Err 03: Input under range

  • Err 04: Internal hardware fault

  • Err 05: HB alarm loop abnormal
