Insert MVI46-DFCM module into empty slot of 1746 chassis
Connect external DF1 communication equipment to corresponding serial interface
Power on the system and confirm the module is recognized successfully
Set communication mode, station address and serial port parameters via configuration tool
Configure internal data mapping relation according to actual transmission demand
Import matching ladder program to complete data area matching
Download all configurations and user programs to controller
Conduct online communication test to verify data receiving and sending normally
