IX. Application Instructions for Communication Modes

RS-232 mode is suitable for short-range point-to-point communication within 10 meters, mostly used for connecting on-site serial port printers, local debugging terminals, and short-range detection instruments;

RS-422 full-duplex mode supports synchronous bidirectional data transmission, suitable for high-precision real-time interactive control equipment, with a long transmission distance and extremely strong signal stability;

X. Standard Installation Process

XII. Fault Diagnosis and Daily Maintenance

During daily use, keep the industrial control chassis ventilated and unobstructed, regularly clean the dust accumulated on the surface of the board card and the internal part of the ISA slot, wipe and clean the gold fingers of the board card, avoid oxidation causing poor contact; When there is no data interaction in communication, first check if the selection of the communication mode of the dip switch is correct. Confirm that the communication parameters of both devices are unified. Check if the positive and negative poles of the communication lines are connected correctly without any reverse or misalignment.

When there are packet loss or unstable transmission of communication data, investigate the strong electromagnetic interference sources on site. Move the communication lines away from the power cables. In long-line networking scenarios, promptly activate the terminal resistors.

When the channel indicator lights show no movement, check if the board is properly installed. Investigate the faults of the ISA slot and the conflict of the serial port resource addresses within the system.

When a single channel is abnormal while the other channels are working normally, you can directly switch to the backup channel for use, without affecting the normal operation of the remaining communication functions of the entire card.
