3) Key Differences between AI2351 and Ordinary AI Modules (e.g. 3805E)

AI2351: 8 channels, 24 bits, TMR triple redundancy, SIL3, high precision, multiple signal types; high-end safety circuit

3805E: 16 channels, 16 bits, single channel, SIL2, standard accuracy, only 4–20mA/0–10V; general economy

II. Usage Instructions (Wiring + Configuration + Maintenance)

1) Wiring (with 9771-210 / 9853-610)

4–20mA two-wire transmitter: + → CHx+; – → CHx–; shield → SHD

RTD three-wire / four-wire: Use terminal board RTD-specific terminals (requires configuration selection of RTD)

Thermocouple: + → TC+; – → TC–; cold junction compensation (CJC) automatic

2) Configuration (TriStation)

Select AI2351 in hardware slot

Channel Parameters: Input Type → 4–20mA / 0–10V / TC / RTD

Set range, filtering, alarm threshold

Download configuration, module restart takes effect

3) Fault Troubleshooting

RED FAULT: TMR voting inconsistency, channel short circuit / open circuit, over-range → Check wiring, terminal board, configuration

GREEN OK: Backplane power supply, module firmware, TMR synchronization failure

Signal drift: Check shield grounding, thermocouple cold junction compensation, RTD wiring resistance
