Description

I. Product Overview (Core Parameters)

1) Basic Specifications

Model: 8311N (24VDC Power Module, High Density Version)

Input: 22–31VDC (Nominal 24VDC)

Output: 24VDC, Maximum 15A (Single Module)

Architecture: TMR Triple Redundancy Backplane + Dual Power Redundancy (1+1 Hot Standby)

Efficiency: ≥85%, Low Power Consumption, Excellent Heat Dissipation

Size (mm): 160 × 100 × 25 (Standard 19" Rack Slot, Full-length Card)

Weight: Approximately 1.35 kg

Temperature: -40℃ ~ +70℃ (Industrial Wide Temperature, Suitable for Harsh Environments)

Certifications: CE, UL, CSA, SIL3 (IEC 61508), ATEX

Compatibility: Tricon v9/v10/v11 Full Series (8110/8111/8121 Rack Compatible)

2) Panel Indicators (4 Lights, Intuitive Diagnosis)

PASS (Green): Normal Power Supply, Stable Output, Redundancy Synchronization

FAULT (Red): Overvoltage / Undervoltage, Overcurrent, Overheat, Internal Fault

ALARM (Yellow): Low Input Voltage, Inconsistent Redundancy, Fan Abnormal

TEMP (Red): High Temperature (≥75℃), Automatic Load Reduction Protection

3) Differences from Previous Model 8311 (N = High Density Upgrade Version)

8311 (Old Model): 12A Output, Slightly Larger Volume, v9 Early System

8311N (New Model): 15A High Current, Higher Density, Lower Power Consumption, Enhanced Temperature Resistance, v10/v11 Standard, Fully Compatible with Old Rack

II. Usage Instructions (Installation / Configuration / Maintenance)

1) Rack Slot Installation (8110/8111 Rack)

8110 Main Rack: Slot 4, Slot 5 (Must be 2 Pieces, Dual Redundancy)

8111 Expansion Rack: Slot 1, Slot 2 (Must be 2 Pieces, Dual Redundancy)

Installation: Align and push into the guide rail, lock the panel latch; Supports Hot Swap, Online Replacement without Shutdown

2) Wiring (Input 24VDC)

Input Terminal: Backplane Wiring (Rear of 8110/8111 Rack)

Wire Diameter: 1.5–2.5 mm² Multi-strand Copper Wire

Polarity: +24VDC → Positive Terminal, 0V → Negative Terminal, Do Not Reverse

Redundant Input: Recommended Two Independent 24VDC Power Supply (Improves Reliability)

3) Redundancy Configuration (Default Enabled, No Software Settings Required)

Dual Redundancy (1+1): 2 Pieces of 8311N Automatically Load Balance; Single Module Failure, Another Module 100% Carries, No Disturbance Switching

Backplane TMR Redundancy: Output Through Triple Backplane Voting, Prevents Single Point Failure

TriStation Diagnosis: Automatically Identifies Power Status, Precise Fault Location to Slot

4) Startup and Daily Check

Power On: First Connect 24VDC Input → PASS Light Lights → Rack / Module Startup

Normal State: PASS Always On,FAULT/ALARM/TEMP All Off

Common Fault Handling:

FAULT Lights On: Check Input Voltage, Wiring, Load Short Circuit; Replace Fault Module

ALARM Lights On: Low Input Voltage (<22VDC) or Inconsistent Redundancy, Check Power Supply / Module

TEMP Lights On: Poor Heat Dissipation, Clean Airflow / Dust, Improve Rack Ventilation

5) Maintenance Points

Hot Swap Replacement: Directly Pull Out Fault Module, Insert New Module; System No Shutdown, No Data Loss

Regular Inspection: Wiring Terminal Looseness, Indicator Light Status, Heat Dissipation Fan

Spares: 1:1 Redundant Standby According to Rack Quantity (e.g. 2 Racks, 2 Modules)
