3) TriStation Configuration (v9/v10/v11)
Automatic Identification: TriStation Automatically Identifies 8110 Rack and All Modules upon Power On
Redundancy Configuration: TMR Triple Redundancy, Dual Power Supply Redundancy Default Enabled, No Manual Configuration Required
Expansion Rack: Add 8111/8112 Racks in the Software, Allocate Bus Address
Program Download: Switch Key Switch to PROGRAM, Download Control Program; Complete Switch Back to RUN 4) Indicator Lights and Diagnosis
PASS (Green): System is normal, three processors are synchronized
FAULT (Red): Module / Power Supply / Bus failure, TriStation can locate the specific slot
ACTIVE (Yellow): I/O communication / data exchange is active
Common Faults:
Single Processor Failure: System operates in degraded mode, redundancy takes over automatically
Single Power Supply Failure: Another power supply automatically takes over all loads
Bus Failure: Check the extension cable, connector, and terminal resistor
5) Daily Maintenance
Regular Inspection: Rack fixing screws, module locks, grounding connection, cooling fans
Cleaning: After power off, use a dry brush to clean dust to avoid air duct blockage
Spares: Regularly available 3008 processor, 8300 power supply, common I/O modules. In case of failure, they can be quickly hot-swapped and replaced.
