Model 6200038 is an industrial inductive proximity sensor, designed for non-contact detection of metal objects. It is widely used in automated machinery, production lines, machine tools, limit position detection and mechanical signal feedback. It features high sensitivity, strong anti-interference and IP67 protection for harsh industrial environments.

2. Main Features

  • Model: 6200038

  • Working principle: Inductive type

  • Detectable object: Ferrous and non-ferrous metals

  • Supply voltage: 10–30 V DC

  • Output type: 3-wire DC

  • Maximum load current: ≤ 200 mA

  • Protection grade: IP67 dustproof and waterproof

  • Operating temperature: -25 °C to +70 °C

  • Built-in reverse polarity, overvoltage and short-circuit protection

  • Vibration resistance and stable long-term operation

3. Safety Precautions

  • Disconnect power before installation and wiring.

  • Do not apply voltage higher than 30 V DC.

  • Avoid reverse power connection to prevent permanent damage.

  • Keep away from high-power motors, transformers and strong magnetic fields.

  • Do not disassemble or modify the sensor housing.

  • Prevent heavy impact, oil contamination and long-term damp conditions.

4. Installation

  1. Fix the sensor with mounting nut or fixed bracket.

  2. Maintain standard sensing distance from the metal target.

  3. Mount perpendicular to the detected surface for optimal performance.

  4. Do not place extra metal parts near the sensing head.

  5. Arrange cable routing properly; avoid sharp bending and pulling.

5. Wiring Definition

  • Brown  : DC +10~30 V Power

  • Blue   : DC 0 V GND

  • Black  : Signal output

  • Shield : Ground only at controller side

6. Operation Instructions

  1. Wire connection must follow the standard definition.

  2. Power on, sensor enters standby status.

  3. When metal enters effective detection range, indicator lights on and output activates.

  4. When metal leaves, output resets and indicator turns off.

  5. Can be directly connected to PLC, relay and automation controller input.

7. Troubleshooting

  • No indicator light: Check power supply and wiring connection.

  • Always output signal: Metal target too close or surrounding metal interference.

  • Signal unstable: Loose wiring, mechanical vibration or power fluctuation.

  • Indicator on but no output: Signal wire broken or load damaged.

8. Maintenance

  • Clean dust and iron scraps on sensing surface regularly.

  • Check mounting tightness and cable wear periodically.

  • Avoid long-term high temperature and corrosive gas environment.

  • Replace the sensor immediately if shell crack or cable aging occurs。
