3. Safety Precautions
Disconnect power before installation, wiring, or maintenance.
Install in a dry, vibration-free area; avoid direct heat and corrosive gases.
Keep the sensing face clear of metal debris to prevent false triggering.
Do not reverse polarity or exceed 30 V DC; permanent damage may occur.
Only connect to PLC/controller I/O rated for 10–30 V DC.
Do not disassemble or modify the unit; no user-serviceable parts inside.
4. Installation & Wiring
4.1 Mechanical Mounting
Mount with M4 screws on a flat surface (metal/non-metal bracket).
Maintain a 5 mm gap between the sensing face and the metal target.
Ensure the sensor is perpendicular to the target for optimal accuracy.
Avoid mounting near strong magnetic fields (motors, transformers).
4.2 Electrical Wiring
| Wire Color | Function |
|---|---|
| Brown | +10–30 V DC (Power) |
| Blue | 0 V DC (Ground) |
| Black | Signal Output (NO/NC) |
| Shield | Cable shield (connect to GND at controller end only) |

5. Operation
Apply 10–30 V DC power (brown/blue wires).
LED Indicator:
ON: Metal target detected (within 5 mm)
OFF: No target detected
The black wire outputs a low/high signal based on NPN/PNP type when triggered.
NO (Normally Open): Output ON when target is present.
NC (Normally Closed): Output ON when target is absent.
6. Troubleshooting
No LED, no output: Check power supply (10–30 V DC) and wiring connections.
LED always ON: Target too close (>5 mm) or metal debris on the sensing face.
LED flashes intermittently: Loose wiring, unstable power, or excessive vibration.
LED ON but no output: Check black wire connection and load polarity.
7. Maintenance
Clean the sensing face monthly with a dry cloth to remove dust/debris.
Inspect cable insulation quarterly for cuts, abrasion, or damage.
Verify mounting tightness and 5 mm gap distance every 6 months.
Avoid sharp bends or kinks in the cable to prevent wire breakage.
