1002012 is a compact, high‑performance inductive proximity switch sensor (Liyy) for industrial automation, marine, and machinery applications. It detects metal objects without physical contact, providing reliable ON/OFF signals for position sensing, limit switching, and object detection in harsh environments.

2. Key Features

  • Model: 1002012

  • Type: Inductive proximity sensor (non‑contact)

  • Cable: 3×0.75 mm², length ≈ 2 m

  • Output: NPN/PNP (configurable, NO/NC)

  • Sensing Distance: 5 mm (standard)

  • Voltage: 10–30 V DC

  • Current: ≤ 200 mA (load)

  • Frequency: ≤ 1 kHz

  • Protection: IP67 (dust/waterproof)

  • Temperature: –25 °C to +70 °C

  • Certification: CE (50/10)

3. Safety Precautions

  • Disconnect DC power before installation, wiring, or maintenance.

  • Install in a dry, vibration‑free area; avoid direct heat/corrosive gases.

  • Keep the sensor face clear of metal debris to prevent false triggering.

  • Do not exceed 30 V DC or reverse polarity; permanent damage may occur.

  • Only connect to PLC/controller I/O rated for 10–30 V DC.

  • Do not open or modify the sensor; no user‑serviceable parts inside.

4. Installation

4.1 Mechanical Mounting

  1. Mount the sensor on a flat metal surface (or non‑metal bracket) using M4 screws.

  2. Maintain 5 mm gap between sensor face and target metal object.

  3. Ensure the sensor is perpendicular to the target for optimal detection.

  4. Avoid mounting near strong magnetic fields (motors, transformers).

4.2 Electrical Wiring

  • Brown: +10–30 V DC (Power)

  • Blue: 0 V DC (Ground/GND)

  • Black: Signal output (NO/NC, NPN/PNP)

  • Shield: Cable shield (connect to GND at controller end only)

5. Operation

Power‑On & Detection

  1. Apply 10–30 V DC power (brown/blue wires).

  2. LED Indicator:

    • ON: Metal target detected (within 5 mm)

    • OFF: No target detected

  3. The black wire outputs a low/high signal (per NPN/PNP type) when triggered.

NO/NC Selection

  • NO (Normally Open): Output ON when target is present.

  • NC (Normally Closed): Output ON when target is absent.

(Check model label for default configuration.)

6. Specifications

  • Model: 1002012

  • Sensing Principle: Inductive (metal only)

  • Sensing Range: 5 mm (±10% tolerance)

  • Supply Voltage: 10–30 V DC

  • Output Current: ≤ 200 mA

  • Switching Frequency: 1 kHz max

  • Insulation Resistance: ≥ 50 MΩ (500 V DC)

  • Dielectric Strength: 1000 V AC (1 min)

  • Protection Class: IP67

  • Cable: 3×0.75 mm², 2 m length

  • Weight: ≈ 130 g

  • Operating Temp: –25 °C to +70 °C

  • Storage Temp: –40 °C to +80 °C

7. Troubleshooting

  • No LED, no output: Check power (10–30 V DC) and wiring (brown/blue).

  • LED always ON: Target too close (>5 mm), or metal debris on sensor face.

  • LED flashes intermittently: Loose wiring, unstable power, or vibration.

  • No output when LED ON: Check black wire connection and load polarity.

8. Maintenance

  • Keep the sensor face clean; wipe with a dry cloth monthly.

  • Check cable insulation for damage (cuts, abrasion) quarterly.

  • Verify mounting tightness and gap distance every 6 months.

  • Avoid bending the cable at sharp angles; prevent kinks.
