5. Key Features

  1. Medium inertia rotor design provides stable operation, excellent rigidity and adaptability for medium and heavy load applications.

  2. Built-in βiA 128K high-resolution incremental encoder ensures ultra-precise speed and position closed-loop control.

  3. Integrated 24 VDC holding brake can lock the position when power is off, effectively preventing load falling for vertical and suspended axes.

  4. IP65 protection grade, dustproof and splashproof, suitable for workshop dust, metal chips and coolant mist environment.

  5. Straight shaft with keyway structure facilitates convenient coupling installation and reliable torque transmission.

  6. Brushless motor design features low noise, no carbon brush wear, long service life and maintenance-free under normal working conditions.

  7. Natural air cooling without external fan, simple structure, low failure rate and high operational reliability.

6. Application Scope

  • CNC lathe, milling machine and machining center feed axes and auxiliary axes

  • Heavy-load positioning mechanism of industrial automation production lines

  • Packaging machinery, printing machinery and textile machinery transmission systems

  • Heavy-duty joint drive for industrial robots

  • Vertical installation axes and suspended load equipment requiring anti-fall protection

7. Installation Guidelines

  1. Mount the motor on a rigid, flat and non-deformable base to avoid resonance and mechanical stress.

  2. Maintain precise alignment between motor shaft and load shaft to reduce vibration, noise and premature bearing wear.

  3. Use dedicated shielded servo power cable and encoder cable; separate power wiring and signal wiring to reduce electromagnetic interference.

  4. Reserve sufficient space around the motor for natural heat dissipation; do not block the heat dissipation area of the motor housing.

  5. Avoid strong impact, dropping and extrusion on the motor body, encoder rear cover and brake assembly during handling and installation.

8. Maintenance Instructions

  1. Regularly inspect motor running status including abnormal noise, vibration and temperature rise.

  2. Keep the motor surface clean, remove dust, metal chips and oil contamination periodically.

  3. Sealed bearings adopt lifetime lubrication; no regular refueling is required under normal operating conditions.

  4. Check encoder cable integrity, connector fastening and aging status at regular intervals.

  5. Periodically test the holding performance of the brake to ensure safety for vertical load applications.

  6. Avoid long-term overload operation and frequent forward and reverse start-stop beyond the allowable range.

9. Safety Precautions

  1. Cut off all power supply before installation, wiring and maintenance. Wait at least 15 minutes for internal capacitor discharge to prevent electric shock hazard.

  2. Do not touch rotating shaft and moving parts during motor running state.

  3. The built-in brake is only for static holding, not for dynamic braking during high-speed operation.

  4. Do not disassemble the motor, brake and encoder privately; unauthorized disassembly will void warranty and damage assembly precision.

  5. Do not use the motor in environments with conductive dust, heavy condensation and chemical corrosion without special protection.

10. Troubleshooting

  • Motor fails to start: Check three-phase power supply, wiring tightness, servo amplifier alarm code, enable signal and brake release signal.

  • Abnormal noise and vibration: Check mounting rigidity, shaft coupling alignment, bearing aging and mechanical load jamming.

  • Motor overheating: Inspect long-term overload, ambient temperature over limit, poor ventilation and incomplete brake release.

  • Positioning deviation: Check encoder cable breakage, loose connector, servo parameter mismatch and mechanical transmission backlash.

  • Unstable speed: Verify power supply voltage fluctuation, sudden load change and encoder signal interference.

  • Brake cannot hold or release: Check 24 VDC brake power supply, wiring connection and brake coil condition.
