General Description

The AR-101 (H/U) is a miniature embedded RFID access controller/reader by SOYAL, supporting dual-frequency (125 kHz / 13.56 MHz) card reading. It features compact size, flush mounting, and integrated access control functions for doors, elevators, cabinets, and industrial equipment.

Installation

  1. Mount the unit into a standard 37×37 mm cutout

  2. Secure with mounting screws

  3. Connect power (9–24 V DC) and ground

  4. Wire Wiegand/RS-485 to controller or host

  5. Connect lock, alarm, and door contact (if applicable)

  6. Set DIP switches for interface mode (RS-485 / Wiegand)

  7. Enroll master card, then user cards

Operation

  • Standby: Green LED slow flash

  • Valid Card: Green LED on, buzzer beep once, lock relay activate

  • Invalid Card: Red LED flash, buzzer beep twice

  • Door Open Too Long: Red LED flash, buzzer continuous beep

  • Forced Entry: Red LED on, buzzer continuous beep, alarm relay activate
