• Function: Connects Quantum backplane to remote DIO stations via serial link, supports redundant communication.

7. Installation & Wiring

7.1 Mounting

1. Power OFF the Quantum rack.

2. Insert module into any single‑slot position.

3. Latch and tighten screw.

7.2 Power Wiring (24 VDC)

• +24 V: Positive

• 0 V: Ground

• PE: Protective Earth

• Wire size: 0.75–2.5 mm²

7.3 DIO Communication Wiring

• Connect shielded twisted pair to PORT1 / PORT2.

• Shield: Ground at one end only (PE).

• Redundant mode: Both ports connected to separate bus segments.

8. Configuration (Unity Pro)

1. Add 140CRA21120C in hardware catalog.

2. Set DIO address (1–63).

3. Enable redundancy (PORT1 + PORT2).

4. Assign I/O map: 30 In / 32 Out words.

5. Download configuration to PLC.

9. Operation & LED Status

• PWR ON: Module powered.

• COM Blinking: Data exchange active.

• ERR Steady Red: Communication loss / remote drop fault.

• ERR Flashing: Address conflict / config mismatch.

• PORT1/PORT2 Green: Link up.
