Basic Installation & Usage
Mounting
Snap into standard I/A Series rack baseplate.
Ensure full seating and secure latch.
Wiring
Connect field devices to Termination Assembly (TA).
Use external power (15–60 VDC / 120/240 VAC) for outputs.
Separate low‑signal cables from high‑power cables.
Each channel is isolated; no common ground between channels.
Configuration (I/A Series Software)
Set output mode: Normal / Failsafe.
Define failsafe state (ON/OFF) for each channel.
Set response time (10–100 ms).
Enable/disable short‑circuit detection.
Operation
Check module LEDs: RUN (green) = ok; FAULT (red) = error.
Check channel LEDs: ON = output active; FLASH = fault.
Monitor status in HMI; acknowledge alarms.
Maintenance
Hot‑swap faulty module (no shutdown required).
Inspect TA wiring and fuses periodically.
Update firmware via I/A Series software.
Typical Applications
On/off control of motor starters, solenoid valves, and contactors.
Alarm annunciation and interlock systems.
Lighting and HVAC control in industrial facilities.
Replacement for legacy FBM29 or FBM27 modules in I/A Series migrations.
