WOODWARD 5412-033 is a high‑performance digital governor and electro‑hydraulic (I/H) converter module for steam turbines, gas turbines and generator sets. It integrates microprocessor‑based speed control, analog/digital I/O, and hydraulic drive circuitry, serving as a key interface between electronic control signals and hydraulic actuation systems. Designed for both new builds and retrofits, it provides precise, stable speed/load regulation and overspeed protection in power, oil & gas and petrochemical plants.

General Description

The WOODWARD 5412-033 is a compact, rack‑mountable digital governor + I/H converter that accepts speed feedback (500–12000 Hz) and analog setpoints (4–20 mA / 1–5 Vdc). It converts electronic control commands into hydraulic pressure to regulate turbine inlet valves or fuel racks. The controller supports isochronous (zero droop) and droop modes for isolated or grid‑parallel operation, with built‑in overspeed trip, speed limiting, startup ramping and fault diagnostics. It features 8 digital inputs / 8 digital outputs, 4 analog inputs / 3 analog outputs, and communicates via Modbus RTU/TCP to DCS or Woodward 505/505E controllersWoodward. The unit operates on 24 VDC ±10%, supports hot‑swapping, and withstands harsh industrial environments.
