Description

125720-01 (Bentley 3500/32 4-channel relay output module)

Model: 125720-01 (Card model: 3500/32)

Brand: Bently Nevada

Series: 3500 Mechanical Protection System (Rotating Machinery Vibration / Displacement / Temperature Monitoring)

Location: 4-channel programmable relay output module, used to convert the alarm / danger signals of the monitoring system into dry contacts, to drive external alarms, shutdown or PLC linkage.

I. Basic Parameters

Material Number: 125720-01 (Standard configuration of 3500/32)

Number of Channels: 4 Relay Outputs (Independent and Programmable)

Output Type: Dry Contact (Each channel includes COM/NO/NC)

Contact Capacity:

Resistive: 250 VAC / 3 A; 30 VDC / 3 A

Sensitivity: 250 VAC / 1.5 A; 30 VDC / 1.5 A

Power Supply: +5 VDC (power supply for 3500 chassis backplane)

Power Consumption: ≤ 8 W

Insulation Voltage Resistance: Contact with chassis surface 250 VAC / 1 min

Environment:

Operating Temperature: 0 ~ +60 °C

Storage Temperature: -40 ~ +85 °C

Humidity: 5% ~ 95% (no condensation)

Mechanical:

Dimensions (Length × Width × Height): 220 × 120 × 30 mm

Installation: Standard 3500 chassis slots (full-height card)

Weight: ≈ 0.5 kg

II. Core Functions

Alarm / Shutdown Output: When monitoring values such as vibration, displacement, and temperature exceed limits → Relay action → Sound and light alarm or emergency shutdown circuit.

Programmable Logic: 4 channels independently configurable, supports AND/OR voting logic, can map alarm / dangerous signals from any monitoring channel within the chassis.

Dry Contact Linkage: NO/NC/COM compatible with external loads (such as 220VAC alarm lights, 24VDC relay coils, PLC input).

System Expansion: Multiple 3500/32 cards can be used in parallel in the 3500 chassis, expanding the number of relay outputs.

III. Terminal Blocks (Single Channel) Table

Terminal Explanation

COM Common terminal

NO Normally open (opens when normal disconnection occurs, alarms / dangers are closed)

NC Normally closed (closes when normal connection is made, alarms / dangers are opened)

Key wiring points:

External load power supply (AC/DC) is connected between COM and NO/NC.

Strong current circuits are connected with a fuse of ≤ 3A.

Shielded wire is grounded at one end and kept away from strong interference sources such as frequency converters.

IV. Configuration and Debugging

Installation: Insert into any vacant slot of the 3500 rack (on the right side of the rack interface module), and the backplane will automatically power on.

DIP switch: The side switch of the module is set to **normally activated (ON, normal power on) / normally de-activated (OFF, normal no power)** mode.

Software configuration:

Connect the rack using 3500 System 1 software.

Map the monitoring parameters (such as shaft vibration, axial displacement, temperature) and alarm / danger thresholds for 4 channels respectively.

Download the configuration to the module and it will take effect and run.

Status indication:

PWR: Power is normal (green)

RUN: Operation is normal (green flashing)

FLT: Module failure (red)

CH1~CH4: Channel action (yellow and bright)

V. Common Faults and Maintenance

Red FLT light: Backplane power supply abnormality, configuration error, relay damage → Check the rack power supply, re-download the configuration, and replace the module.

Channel does not act: Wiring error, threshold not triggered, DIP switch setting error → Check the wiring, confirm that the monitoring value is out of limit, and check the switch status.

Regular maintenance: Clean the module every quarter, check the tightness of terminals; the module is maintenance-free, and faults can be directly replaced with spare parts.
