4256A25G02 and 1C31025G04 are paired equivalent part numbers of the second-generation MRC (Main Remote Control) master board under Westinghouse/Emerson 4256 series Ovation WDPF distributed control system, fully plug-and-play interchangeable with the base version 4256A25G01 (1C31025G03).

Description

This module serves as the core master control unit for distributed remote I/O racks of early Ovation DCS platforms, responsible for high-speed bidirectional data forwarding, remote bus resource scheduling and analog/digital field signal preprocessing between central control cabinets and multi-group on-site remote I/O stations.
Compared with the G01 base model, this G02 upgraded version optimizes internal signal processing chip, bus communication algorithm and redundant fault switching logic, featuring larger data cache capacity, shorter channel switching response time and stronger long-term anti-electromagnetic interference stability.
The circuit board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial substrate with fully enclosed electromagnetic shielding layout, built-in 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation between external remote bus terminals and internal logic circuits, which effectively filters strong electromagnetic noise generated by high-voltage equipment, frequency converters and large rotating machinery in thermal power, petrochemical, metallurgy and other heavy industrial working sites.
Every finished board undergoes strict factory verification procedures: 72-hour high-low temperature cycle aging test, full-load continuous bus communication aging test, redundant channel failure simulation test and full-channel hardware precision calibration. It supports single-slot hot-swappable backplane installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-stage surge suppression, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection circuits. Multiple independent LED diagnostic indicators display power supply status, main bus link state, remote channel operation and hardware fault codes, supporting rapid on-site fault location and maintenance. It greatly improves the expandability and continuous operation reliability of large multi-station distributed control systems, reduces unplanned production downtime and maintenance labor costs.
