CON021/916-160 is an eddy current sensor preamplifier from EPRO (now part of Emerson), designed to be used with the PR6423/PR6424/PR6426 series probes. It is used for shaft vibration, axial displacement, eccentricity, speed / phase alignment measurement, and is the core signal conversion unit of the TSI system.

Core function

Provide high-frequency excitation for the eddy current probe to detect changes in the gap between the probe and the shaft surface.

Convert the original signal of the probe into a standard analog quantity of **-4 to -20VDC**, which is collected by the TSI card.

Built-in linearization and temperature compensation ensure long-term stability in industrial environments.

Single-ended output, compatible with the MMS6000/MMS3000 system and third-party DCS. Technical Specifications

Installation and pairing tips

Paired calibration: The probe and preamplifier are uniquely matched at factory, mixed pairing will cause serious errors

Gap setting: Static gap set to 8mm (midpoint of the range), output approximately -12VDC

Installation distance: Preamplifier to probe ≤ 5 meters, avoid signal attenuation

Shielding grounding: Cable shielding layer grounded at one end in the cabinet, away from frequency converter / strong electric interference

Non-explosion-proof: 916 series cannot be used in explosion-proof areas, hazardous environments need to select 92x series
